How did you get into the profession?
I started to work at the age of 13 in my family practice. It was inevitable that I would be an accountant “when I grew up”.
What do you love most about the accounting industry?
I believe we are very privileged to have all access to businesses, to see how they work, what makes them successful, identify where the pitfalls are and have the opportunity to grow with the business.
What do you see as key trends for the accounting sector in the coming year?
Technology is the key focus and driver for helping business owners gain more information from accountants in real time to make a real impact to their businesses.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the profession?
It is a diverse profession which allows you to use the latest cutting-edge technology whilst working with entrepreneurs and learning their mindset, which evolves each and every day.
