How did you get started?
We started Record OS to solve a real problem.
In early 2025, we spoke with UK accounting firms and repeatedly heard the same frustrations: despite modern tools, Self Assessment remained manual, fragmented, and painful:
– “We chase unresponsive clients via emails and get paper, PDFs, photos, Excel. Always late.”
– “Data entry is manual. This is true for all the 3 firms I’ve worked at.”
– “There has to be a better way … no reason why we’re snowed under in January.”
Record OS exists to fix this and was built to remove this friction by rethinking Self Assessment as a connected, end-to-end workflow rather than a collection of disconnected tools.
What are you looking forward to most at Accountex?
